Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Jill at Breaking The Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
My pick this week is Eve by Anna Carey
Here is the Goodreads synopsis -
The year is 2032, sixteen years after a deadly virus—and the vaccine intended to protect against it—wiped out most of the earth’s population. The night before eighteen-year-old Eve’s graduation from her all-girls school she discovers what really happens to new graduates, and the horrifying fate that awaits her.
Fleeing the only home she’s ever known, Eve sets off on a long, treacherous journey, searching for a place she can survive. Along the way she encounters Caleb, a rough, rebellious boy living in the wild. Separated from men her whole life, Eve has been taught to fear them, but Caleb slowly wins her trust...and her heart. He promises to protect her, but when soldiers begin hunting them, Eve must choose between true love and her life.
This sounds so interesting. I know that there is a ton of dystopian books coming out this year but this one sounds awesome. I do love the cover as well.
Expected release date is Oct 4, 2011.

ReplyDeleteOk for one this book sounds bery intriguing and I keep looking for it to come into the library but so far no luck. I cant wait to read it. I also really like the cover for this book.
ReplyDeleteOn the outside, Eve learns that the world is, for the most part, nothing like what she was taught. But some human nature is the same. The King wants Eve specifically to produce an heir for him and will do anything to get her. She also finds a pack of boys that grow to become a family to her. But in this new world, there is not much room for happiness and she is still on the run from the King's men.
