In My Mailbox



This is a weekly meme hosted by the awesome Kristi at The Story Siren. It gives us a chance to showcase the books we got during the week.

I had a pretty awesome book week. I have quite a few new additions to my bookshelf!



Gilt by Katherine Longshore (goodreads)

A HUGE thank you to Penguin Group Canada for this! The cover is even more striking "in real life". I am dying to jump right into it but I want it to count towards my Debut Author Challenge, so I shall wait until Jan...maybe. Hopefully I can resist temptation.

Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead (goodreads)
Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday (goodreads)

These were holds I had placed at the library that came in. I have already read Deadly Cool and it's so much fun. A cute murder mystery! I can't wait to review it.

As for Last Sacrifice.... I have come to the end of the Vampire Academy novels. I am a little sad to be saying goodbye to Rose, Dimitri, and the rest. I hope to be reading this soon.

    Ahhh so lucky to get Gilt!! That one sounds awesome. But seriously, Kathy, WHERE do you find your patience? I'm totally in awe haha. Very excited to read Deadly Cool too.

    Aw, I love the VA series so much. I was sad when I finished it too! Luckily I was able to read Bloodlines fairly soon after, so I wasn't away from the VA world for long. I'm going to have to reread the series though, because I miss the characters so much!

    I can't wait to read Gilt either, not that I got a copy but it's just such an exciting premise paired with a striking cover indeed. I just got Deadly Cool from the library as well *high fives* and it's such a bittersweet moment to close a series as wonderful and thrilling as VA. Have no fear, because Bloodlines, the spin-off, is just as great! Trust me!
