New To My Book Closet

It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews).

I got three books for review.

From What I Remember by Stacy Kramer and Valerie Thomas (goodreads)
Black City by Elizabeth Richards (goodreads)

from Netgalley

The Goddess Legacy by Aimee Carter (goodreads)

I was super excited to find Black City waiting at my door. A huge THANK YOU to Penguin Canada for sending this for me. I am super excited to read it.

Another huge THANK YOU to Hachette Group Canada for sending From What I Remember. It kind of sounds like The Hangover movies, and I am hoping it's just as funny!

I also want to think Daniel Marks author of Velveteen for sending my some AMAZING bookmarks. I LOVE them and the quote
She walks a tightrope between psychotic and smokin'
I love this quote so much! I am excited to read this novel.

I also want to give a huge THANK YOU to Harlequin Teen and Netgalley for the chance to read and review The Goddess Legacy. I am looking forward to learning more about Persephone especially.

Happy Sunday and Happy Reading!

  3. YAY for Black City!! I really enjoyed it, especially the mythology and new world Elizabeth crafted. SO awesome. I haven't heard of From What I Remember before now, but it DOES sound like a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to reading your thoughts. And also with The Goddess Legacy! So, so intrigued to read from Persephone's POV. While not always lovable, she was one of the fascinating introductions to book two.

Enjoy your awesome new books! :)

  5. Great books! I don't think I've heard of From What I Remember... Looking forward to seeing what you think of it, and if it is just as funny as the Hangover movies!

I love comments. Thank you for stopping by my blog and thank you even more for leaving me a comment.

I have decided to make this an awards free blog. I appreciate the gesture, and love that you thought of my blog, however I simply can't pass them along as required.
