Here is the Goodreads synopsis
These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.
There are some books that leave your head spinning and desperate to discuss with someone. The Royals series feature these exact kind of books. Boys behaving badly, sexy chemistry, and female characters who give as good as they get. If you haven't read Paper Princess yet,  I recommend making a friend read them at the same time as you'll need someone to discuss them with ... immediately.

These books are like crack in that they are entirely addictive. The writing style is a large part of this as it is compulsively readable. The plot also has a large part to do with how compelling this series is. Clear your calendar before picking this one up because it pretty much demands to be read in one sitting. They have built this world and created these characters that just dig under your skin and get to you. I am not even sure how to describe it other than it feels like being in a whirlwind.

The ending of events of Paper Princess have consequences. Ella has ran away and Reed is desperate to find her. I appreciated that the authors have built on the events from the first novel. They made them matter in real ways and didn't tidily sweep them away to move on to other things. Everything has an impact, and that is perhaps my favourite thing about this series. Things come back to haunt you. Decisions once made cannot be undone and there is no escaping the consequences. I also appreciated that this novel offers no easy fix. The main characters suffer because of their choices and that makes a huge difference in a story like this.

Erin Watt manages to intrigue you with every single Royal brother. I am particularly fascinated with the twins, Sawyer and Sebastian. Their storyline is, for me, the most eyebrow raising and the one I have the most questions about. I would love another series that focused on ANY of the brothers after this one if it meant getting answers to some of these questions. They also, once again, make Ella a complete bad ass. She holds her own against the Royals and shows that she is formidable in her own right. She isn't a doormat and isn't about to sit by and let things happen. She's an example of a different kind of strength in female characters and I appreciate her so much. She is allowed to be weak, impulsive, make bad decisions, be a good friend, stand up for herself and others, and for all of this to be who she is.

These books are like an adrenaline rush with how rapid paced they are. They are impossible to look away and will leave you with whiplash. The authors that make up the pen name of Erin Watt are the queens of delicious drama and each reveal and plot twist only gets more scandalous. It is one of my favourite parts of this series and something they do incredibly well.

The ending of Broken Prince leaves you shell shocked and desperate to get your hands on Twisted Palace. They say that these Royals will ruin you and the same could be said for the authors and this book. This has quickly become one of my favourite twisty series filled with darkly seductive characters. The Royals may be bad, but they do it so well you have no choice but to fall under their charms. Those who want a book that makes Gossip Girl look innocent, and that unravels at breakneck speed should quickly get their hands on this one.

New To My Book Closet.

It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews)

A few goodies arrived in my mailbox this week.

First up, I purchased a new Funko Pop for my growing collection. I am so happy that they are making Pops for this particular show and I hope we get a full collection.

Yup, it's Liv Moore from iZombie! I want one for Ravi, Major, and Clive! I anticipate we'll get a Blaine Pop as well.

Next one of my pre-orders arrived. I am super excited to continue this series!

Broken Prince by Erin Watt (goodreads)

Lastly, I received my last #otspsecretsister package for this round. A HUGE thank you to Katrina (@RinaReadsBooks on Twitter) for being a fantastic 'sister'.

The Assassin's Blade by Sarah J Maas (goodreads)

This package was filled with favourite things and I loved it. Surprisingly I do not own the first three books in the Throne Of Glass series in hardcover so I was THRILLED to get one of them in my package. I love the Disney postcards and the Joker journal. The Alice in Wonderland soap made everything smell amazing! I am so happy to have gotten to know people better thanks to taking part in this and I cannot wait to sign up again.

What bookish items made their way into your mailbox this week?

Happy Weekend and Happy Reading!

I devoured Paper Princess recently and cannot wait to get my hands on the sequel. My review for Paper Princess goes up soon so I won't say too much here, but it was very addictive. It's as fun, as twisty, and outrageous as you expect it to be, and I hope the sequel is just as entertaining.

Expected release date - July 25, 2016
