Waiting on Wednesday.....

I have been awful about updating this blog. I am going to make an honest effort to update it way more often. I have decided that I want to talk more about books, movies, etc (basically all the stuff I love) so I am going to be doing reviews, and posts on things that make me excited. I am going to start with little thing that other book bloggers do. It's called Waiting on Wednesday and it seems that it was started by the blogger at Breaking The Spine. These are books that the blogger can't wait to get their hands on. My "waiting on Wednesday" pick Anna Dressed In Blood by Kendare Blake. The publication date is - Sept 2011.

Here is the Goodreads.com official synopsis –
Just your average boy-meets-girl, girl-kills-people story. . . Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead. So did his father before him, until his gruesome murder by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay. When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: move, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, but now stained red and dripping blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home. And she, for whatever reason, spares his life
The cover is striking and immediately caught my attention. It's a beautiful cover. The synopsis sounds like a unique twist on this type of tale. I am looking forward to Sept so I can read it for myself.

I love comments. Thank you for stopping by my blog and thank you even more for leaving me a comment.

I have decided to make this an awards free blog. I appreciate the gesture, and love that you thought of my blog, however I simply can't pass them along as required.
