Virtual Advent Calendar Tour

You may have heard about the Virtual Advent Calendar Blog Tour that is going on right now. Today is my stop.

Ever since I was young Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer has always been my favourite Christmas cartoon. Watching it is what made it feel like Christmas for me. It is what, in my opinion, kicks off the holiday season.

It brings back memories of hot chocolate and sugar cookies at home. It brings back memories of my two younger sisters singing the words wrong. More recently, it makes me remember wrapping presents with the room mates I used to live with.

I also love the message it sets forth. You shouldn't judge someone by their appearance, because they might just surprise you. Sadly, I think it is a message that will never not be needed.

What is your favourite Christmas classic? What makes it feel like Christmas for you? Tell me in the comments.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

  1. This is one of my favourite Christmas classics too! It just doesn't feel like Christmas until I've seen this one. Others that I need to see every year are White Christmas, Home Alone and (more recently) Love Actually.

Thanks for sharing this with us!

  2. I wish they showed more of Rudolf here. I remember seeing a cartoon ones, but it's not often. Here they show Donald Duck's Christmas edition every year and it's cozy and tradition, but Rudolf is a favorite! Great post.

  3. Awwww, isn't he adorkable?! To be honest, I haven't really watched all too many Christmas cartoons. And while we really got into the whole decorating side of things when I was younger, christmas carols and hot chocolate and candy canes and all that stuff was just never a big thing. I've grown up pretty laid-back about Christmas and I suppose that still applies. But I love the atmosphere around this time of the year!

  4. Watched Rudolf today with my 4 year old granddaughter. A new generation of memories. Visiting from the Advent Virtual Tour. Enjoying a glass of wine as I read. Nice to meet you.

  5. I don't think they showed that here. I was looking for a Christmas movie this morning to have on while I was making treats, but there weren't any.

Thanks for participating in the tour this year!

I love comments. Thank you for stopping by my blog and thank you even more for leaving me a comment.

I have decided to make this an awards free blog. I appreciate the gesture, and love that you thought of my blog, however I simply can't pass them along as required.
