Marie Antoinette: Serial Killer by Katie Alender

I know NOTHING about this book or what it's about, but I want to. I am quite excited to find out more as I am already intrigued. It's a Fall 2013 release from Scholastic so I will be on the look out for more information in the new year. If you are curious, you can add it to Goodreads already.

MOVIE

The City of Bones teaser trailer



Words can not describe how much I LOVE everything about this trailer. Robert Sheehan is going to be fantastic as Simon. I am already looking forward to having my heart broken by him when certain events happen in books two and three (no spoilers!). The line at the end "Welcome to the City of Bones".... SHIVERS. Everything about it gives me chills. The book fangirl in me is reacting to a series I love being turned into a movie, and the way Jamie Campbell Bower says that line... ARGH! It's perfect.

Everything I see in the this teaser gives me hope that the movie is going to be amazing.

I am in awe of these posters. They suit the feel of the novel so well. Everything they have been releasing so far has made me quite happy. Can it just be August already? A warning...expect this movie to show up in this post A LOT between now and August.

Once Upon A Time

This should maybe be titled "obsessing about Once Upon A Time with Brodie from Eleusinian Mysteries". Brodie and I get really into this show. REALLY into it. We spent much time last season discussing who August was. This year it's all about Neal Cassady and who he might be. We send epically long emails back and forth and dissect everything. I couldn't ask for a more awesome person to do this with. If you haven't checked out the this show yet, you are missing out! Tons of hotties, and a great storyline.

City of Bones Read Along

In the new year I will be putting together a fun read along for anyone who want to read this (or read it again) before the movie comes out in August. I am hoping to have everything up sometime in January. Looking forward to hopefully having a fantastic conversation with the Ottawa Blogettes about the book, too.

Magic Mike trading cards

Apparently in Target stores in the USA the DVD of Magic Mike comes with collector trading cards. My first reaction was to freak out and, of course, immediately want them. Christy from The Reader Bee is trying to hook me up by visiting her local Targets for me. I pretty much adore her!

Cover for Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Excuse me while I pick my jaw up off the floor.This picture may not be the best quality as the original image is so tiny. I LOVE this cover. It matches Cinder beautifully and sets the tone of Scarlet's story. I am DYING to get my hands on a copy of this!

The Cage by Megan Shepherd

Megan has a trilogy starting soon called The Madman's Daughter (which sounds awesome), but has already sold a new series that intrigues me as well. Here is the brief description

THE CAGE is a TWILIGHT ZONE-esque sci-fi which follows six teens who are put in an elaborate "human zoo" by a powerful and psychic otherworldly race known as The Kindred, and one girl's attempts to escape without falling for her terrifyingly beautiful captor. 

AMAZING right? Seriously, I say it every year but 2014 looks to be even more amazing than previous years. I can't wait.

MOVIES

Magic Mike

Yes again! Still obsessed. The guys are hot, the moves are slick, and the storyline didn't suck. This movie was much darker than I was expecting it to be. The second half especially got pretty dark. It takes you into this world, and the temptations are plentiful.

Channing Tatum can dance his butt off. Seriously, I knew he could dance, but WHOA! His second solo especially was pretty mind blowing. He is great at the whole "movie flirt" thing. Alex Pettyfer played his role really well too. It also doesn't hurt that he's totally hot.

It is one of those movies I would see again for sure!

Did you all see the fact that her wedding ring is off?! I refuse to accept that she does not end up with Linden. REFUSE. Also the bird is out of it's cage. Hmm......

Either way I am super excited to read this and honestly, I am more of a fan of the hints on the cover than anything else. Add it to Goodreads.

Cover for 17 and Gone by Nova Ren Suma

OMG! I love this cover. The faded missing girl poster and the soft, out of focus look matches the Goodreads synopsis perfectly. I am really excited for this one.

Cover for Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi

Perry!!! YAY! I thought the first novels cover was pretty but this is just as eye catching. Very excited to find out what happens next. Add it to Goodreads.

cover for Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook

A sweet tag line, a romantic cover that fits with the Goodreads description and my need for this book has totally increased to insane levels. This sounds like a heart wrenching, romantic contemporary that I wish I had in my hands RIGHT NOW!

Title for the third 'Starcrossed' book by Josephine Angelini

So I am sure everyone already knows this. I have no clue how I missed this information. The third book in the Starcrossed series is going to be called - GODDESS. I think it fits, and compliments the other titles really well.

Bloodlines Book Three Title

The title for Richelle Mead's third book in the Bloodlines series has been released. The Indigo Spell will release in Feb 2013. Very excited to continue this series.

If you are a young blog follower, please avert your eyes! There is a spicy Magic Mike trailer that was just released. It's cheesy, but looks like SO much fun.

Jimmy Fallon and Carly Rae Jepsen and the Roots sing Call Me Maybe



Cute song, and a totally cute video. Jimmy Fallon is awesome, and this song is so catchy. You'll be singing it forever afterwards. Impressive that it was done with only elementary school instruments.

My jaw dropped. That's how amazing this is. I love the new covers, and hope the rest of the series has similar covers. I like it so much better than the original cover!

Girls Only Night

My friends and I are planning on going to see Magic Mike at the end of the month. We figured we'd make a full girls only night out of it and go have a Bellini before the movie. I am so very excited to hang out with everyone, and the hot guys in Magic Mike are icing on the cake!
