New To My Book Closet

It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews).

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season!

I received a few bookish things as gifts this year and freaked out about all of them.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (goodreads)

This made my Best of 2012 list, and I had borrowed the copy I read from a fellow blogger (Thanks Meaghan) and am very happy to have my own copy now.

Kobo Mini

I have resisted getting an e-reader for so long. I much prefer to read the actual book. I pretty much relented due to having to read eARCs on my computer (very uncomfortable). Also, with all these novellas that are only being released in electronic format, it gave me the perfect excuse to jump in. I so far love it, but can't see myself giving up purchasing physical copies.

Book Expo America pass (not pictured)

I got this a little early but it was a Christmas gift. Very excited to be going again in 2013!

Happy Sunday and Happy Reading!

  1. I can't believe you've been reading eARCs on the computer this whole time! I HATE reading long bouts of text on the computer... very uncomfortable - for sure!! So yay for new Kobo & Gone Girl!

I've found often that my fave reads end up being ones I have e-copies of.. (ie. The Help) so I'm conflicted on whether to spend money again to buy myself an actual copy.. :P

I love comments. Thank you for stopping by my blog and thank you even more for leaving me a comment.

I have decided to make this an awards free blog. I appreciate the gesture, and love that you thought of my blog, however I simply can't pass them along as required.
