New To My Book Closet

It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews).

I had a pretty busy book week. I got some fantastic titles and other goodies.

For review

Dearly, Beloved by Lia Habel (goodreads)
Flirting in Italian by Lauren Henderson (goodreads)
Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill (goodreads)

I enjoyed Dearly, Departed so much so I am freaking excited to start this one! Meant to Be is all about cuteness and London and swooning so I am looking forward to it. Flirting in Italian = cute Italian boys hopefully so perfect for the summer. VERY EXCITED!

A huge thank you to Netgalley and Random House for these titles.

From the library

Isle of Night by Veronica Wolff (goodreads)
The Academie by Susanne Dunlap (goodreads)

I was very happy to find both of these in my library! Hoping to get started on them very soon.

A huge thank you to Elizabeth Richards who sent me some signed (and so pretty) Black City bookmarks!

Happy Sunday and Happy Reading!

  1. Awesome book haul! I'm really looking forward to discussing Dearly, Beloved with you. The bookmarks are gorgeous!

  2. Nice haul, indeed! :-) I can't WAIT to read Meant to Be and am a little jealous that you have it - but not so jealous that I can't be excited for you, too! I hope you love it!

I read and reviewed The Academie a while back and thought it was an enjoyable read. I'm interested to hear what you think of it.

Hope you enjoy all your lovelies this week :-) Thanks for stopping by BlookGirl earlier!

  3. AHHHHHHH. YOU GOT DEARLY BELOVED!! I'm not jealous, I'm not jealous.... Okay, maybe a LITTLE jealous :P Cannot wait to see how you like it!

And I so adore the colourful cover of Meant to Be <3 I've also been meaning to check out Isle of Night for awhile. So I'm sure if you love it, you'll force my hand into picking it up soon :D

Awesome new additions to your book closet, enjoy!!

  4. I'm reading Dearly, Beloved at the moment. Hope it's better than the first book. Happy reading!

  5. I also got Dearly, Beloved! Yay! :)

I'm still waiting for a yay or nay on Meant to Be. :( It's been sitting on NG in queue for weeks. Maybe some day soon lol.

    Enjoy all your reads!

  6. Great haul! The Academie sounds really good. I love stories set in boarding schools. :D Oh and I agree, those Black City bookmarks are so pretty! Hope you'll enjoy all your books!

    Happy reading!

  8. Looks like you had a great week. Thanks for the links on the books...just read the summary of Meant to Be and it sounds super cute. I was immediately interested when you mentioned London. :)

I love comments. Thank you for stopping by my blog and thank you even more for leaving me a comment.

I have decided to make this an awards free blog. I appreciate the gesture, and love that you thought of my blog, however I simply can't pass them along as required.
