American Horror Story: Apocalypse - Return To Murder House

The eighth episode of this season, titled Sojourn, was perhaps one of the craziest of the season. Michael's dealing with some daddy issues, and we learn the origins of Ms Meade.

With the usual reminder of spoilers lets break down what happened. 

We start this episode off with Michael finding out what happened to his beloved caretaker. He, as predicted, does not take it well at all.

Cordelia interrupts his grief to come and tell him that she knows exactly who he is now. His plan is over, and he's failed. Michael reminds her that he is capable of bringing Miriam back (turns out the lady has the same name as the robot). Cordelia tells him to go ahead and try. She tells him that he can certainly go to hell but he won't find her soul there. Cordelia has hid it and only she knows the location. Cordelia tells him that he is alone to which Michael says that he is not because he has his father. Cordelia questions where 'his father' is now. She offers Michael an olive branch. She sees humanity in him and tells him that he can join her instead of following his father's path. Michael does not react well to this at all.

Eeeep. I am legit worried for some of our witches now as not all of them made it to the outpost. We know that Michael is capable of making people disappear (including their souls) and I anticipate we'll see that again before this season is over (which is in two episodes).

Michael storms off and is spiraling. He needs guidance and decides that his father will be the best one to give it. He draws a big circle in the earth and beseeches his father to tell him what to do. He threatens to not leave the circle until he is told what to do. He tells his father to either tell him or let him die. Michael waits for four days but it doesn't seem like Satan is all that interested in helping out his son. Michael starts hallucinating what looks like little kids who are offering him food and drink and when he declines he starts hallucinating Miriam and Anton LaVey who offering reassuring words. Anton's praise though infuriates Michael who calls him a liar and strangles him. Anton turns into a legit angel however (complete with wings) who tells him that God loves him. Michael next sees a goat who he thinks might be his father but he kills it and snakes slither out of the corpse.

Michael is completely weakened and lost. He stumbles around until he finds a building with an upside down cross on it and approaches the door. The doorman asks if he is lost to which Michael can only kind of shrug in reply.

The building holds a church of sorts. It one where the people who attend praise Satan and are doing their best to usher in the end of the world. Hannah (Sandra Bernhard) is the priestess and is, as Michael walks in, giving an impassioned speech asking everyone what sins they have committed to help bring in the apocalypse. Their sins range from cheating on their spouses, to stealing petty cash from work which does not impress the priestess nor Michael who gets more and more devastated as he hears the sins of the group, at one point even covering his face with his hands. 

This entire church scene both offers a commentary on religion and gives us insight into Michael's head space. He is grappling with his father ignoring him. He's having a hard time living up to the expectations his father (and others) have placed on him.

He is approached by a kindly Satan worshiper named Madelyn who offers him food and a place to stay after the service. Michael tells her that is very kind of her to which she replies that nobody is perfect. This lady sure is sweet for being someone who praises the devil.

They two eat and share details about their lives. Michael reveals that his father abandoned him and that his mother tried to kill him. This is why Michael is so lost. You have to have some sympathy for this young man who is just trying to find his place in the world and is being rejected by everyone who should love him. 

Madelyn reveals that she sold her soul to the devil. The perks of this transaction apparently include a lazyboy, the ability to do all of the heroin she wants (without consequences), as well as weekly sex dates with both Brad Pitt (on Wednesdays) and Ryan Reynolds (who comes on Friday). Seems like Madelyn has it made. This does not comfort Michael though. He expresses dismay that all Satan offers is carnal pleasure. Madelyn tries to ease his mind by telling him that the son of Satan is coming and that his son will plunge them into darkness. Michael tells her that she is waiting in vain because he is the one she is waiting for. This makes Madelyn try to kill him as she views what he just said as blasphemy as she doesn't believe it. Michael shows her the '666' branding behind his ear which causes her to immediately bow in respect. 

She drags Michael back to the church so that everyone can bask in the glory of the Antichrist. The church is holding their sacrificial offering to Satan by murdering two do gooders. Michael gets to take over and complete the sacrifice as the guest of honour. It's kind of funny that everyone immediately believes Michael is the Antichrist because of his branding. 

After the sacrifice they have a pot luck (seriously, these Satan worshipers are ridiculous). Everyone is eager for Michael to like the food they brought and are crowded around him watching him eat. Madelyn chases them off. As Michael is eating she asks him what comes next. She wants to know how he intends to usher in the end times. Michael admits he doesn't know what to do. Madelyn is confused. How could he not know what to do, he is the Antichrist after all. Michael's response to being reminded of this fact is to lash out. 

Michael is, obviously, having difficulty with the pressure that is being put on him and I predict being ignored by his father isn't helping matters. Michael brings up Miriam and how he feels alone now that she is gone.This inspires Madelyn to give him a pep talk. She reminds him that there is no one and nothing that he can't have. I mean, she's not wrong. 

Michael's mood makes Madelyn decide to introduce him to some other 'true believers' who she insists will help him. She praises Michael some more during the ride and tells her that he is still the same guy she met at the church. Michael is humble here and it is the duality he showcases that makes his character work so well. They arrive and say goodbye. Madelyn asks him to put in a good word with Satan for her. He promises her that he'll see what he can do.

 This final exchange between them is perhaps my favourite of this episode:

Her exuberant 'Hail Satan' and Michael's smirk (along with cute reminder for her to keep it quiet) works for me here. Madelyn reminds me of a more stable Miriam and I think that is what Michael needs (a mother figure). 

The building she has dropped Michael off at is home to a tech business, the brains of which are Jeff (Evan Peters in a ridiculous bowl hair cut and his fourth role this season) and Mutt (Billy Eichner). These two are super rich tech designers who are working on sex robots. They also happened to be addicted to cocaine and overseen by Ms Venable. These guys are surely the Cooperative. No wonder Michael has so much high-tech stuff at his disposal. 

Ms Venable fires another assistant when she is late bringing in the newest shipment of cocaine. The assistant complains about the treatment she is receiving and threatens to go to Human Resources. Ms Venable's reply to this is everything:

Basically Ms Venable was always Ms Venable. She always loved purple and she was always a bit of a bitch. 

We learn that Jeff really likes easy listening music (including the song The Morning After which played in the outpost). It helps him focus even though Mutt hates it. Ms Venable delivers their cocaine and it is enough to distract Mutt from the blow job another assistant is giving him from under his desk. Ms Venable informs them that the dog poop they sent Mark Zuckerberg is on its way, Rihanna has confirmed that she'll be available to them all weekend, and the island they wanted has been purchased. She also tells them that the gentleman who they are expecting has arrived. They tell her to send him up the private elevator. 

Michael walks in and the guys immediately start off on the wrong foot. They are kind of insulting about his name and Michael immediately turns around to leave. They panic and call him back and apolgoize. They want proof Michael is the Antichrist is all. They are not swayed by the branding so Michael burns one of their assistants. This gets their attention and they immediately bow and offer up a 'Hail Satan'. 

They take Michael for lunch outside and tell him their story. They worked for a bunch of start up companies but never got any recognition or any advancement so they sold their souls as well. They now own a robotics company worth billions, they can do as much cocaine as they wish, and they also have weekly sex dates with Ryan Reynolds and some Victoria Secret supermodels.  They offer up their services to Michael in any capacity that he needs. Michael wants them to bring Miriam back for him. We see them building Miriam and they bicker over the details. They want her to be perfect because the son of Satan is their customer. 

They remind Michael that she won't be exactly as he remembers Miriam, not at least at first. It is going to take time. A relationship has to be built. They power her up and the first thing she does upon opening her eyes is to sit up and tell Michael how much she missed him.

See you next week where we'll probably find out exactly how the apocalypse was actually caused by Michael and why he thinks he killed all the witches. Eeeep!

American Horror Story: Apocalypse - Traitor

The seventh episode of this season, title Traitor, brought lots of plot movement, plenty of fun witch stuff, the world's most awkward dinner, and got us even closer to the more current timeline.

With the usual reminder of spoilers lets break down what happened. 

This week's cold open began to fill in Dinah's backstory prior to coming to the outpost. She took over as the voodoo queen after Marie Laveau died. We see her performing a bloody spell where she rips out some woman's heart. The heart, it turns out, is for spell that was bought and paid for by another woman. The dead woman had been having an affair with the other lady's husband and this was unacceptable. The spell was so that her cheating husband would keep his penis in his pants. The spell includes the heart, some herbs, spices, and other things including something from the wife herself. The wife provides some toenails which prompts Dinah to exclaim that she must really hate her husband. The wife mostly just hates his wandering penis so she even stops Dinah from adding strawberries to the mixture so that it 'goes down easier'. They force feed it to the woman's husband (which looks disgusting) and Dinah makes it so that he doesn't remember drinking it. She promises the woman that her husband will now be faithful because he will be incapable of getting hard for anyone but his wife.

Cordelia approaches Dinah outside the house and they bicker back and forth. Seems Dinah blames the witches for Marie's death while Cordelia hints that Dinah had the most to gain from it (she did become voodoo queen after all). Cordelia eventually admits she needs Dinah's help. She wants a meeting with Papa Legba (who those of you who watched Coven will remember). Dinah wants money, specifically $100,000.00 in cash, to make it happen. Papa Legba's 'help' always comes with a steep price so Cordelia must be desperate.

We're next introduced to Bubbles McGee (played by Joan Colins in her second role), another witch who happens to be an actress. We're introduced to her by a glimpse of her shooting a Christmas horror movie. It's bloody and ridiculous and so American Horror Story and has nothing at all to do with the actual plot. When the director yells 'cut' we learn that Bubbles is able to read people's minds when she overhears a set worker thinking how hot she still is for an older lady. We also see that Madison has come to collect her. Bubbles doesn't think much of Madison's acting (and even suggests she is the only witch who is also an actress which Madison takes great offence to). Madison cuts right to the point of her visit and says that Bubbles has been summoned because they need all hands on deck to help with the Michael situation.

There's a fun dinner scene where Myrtle and Bubbles are reconnecting since they are old friends from their school days at the witch academy. Much giggling over shared secrets and teasing the waiter who was thinking about what kind of underwear Bubbles was wearing. Madison is unimpressed by all of it and reminds them that they have a real problem on their hands because their next Supreme is the literal Antichrist. Myrtle points out that the warlocks are to blame as well since they are hellbent on clearing a path for Michael to take over. The real reason they got Bubbles becomes evident. They want her to read the minds of the warlocks, particularly Ariel, as they need to know what they are thinking. Bubbles is reluctant at first, even hinting that they are being dramatic by calling having a male Supreme the end of the world, but relents when Myrtle asks for it as a personal favor. Myrtle is going to have a dinner and will take care of everything. This should be fun!

Meanwhile, Cordelia gives the money to Dinah who calls forth Papa Legba. Dinah reminds her that Papa is not to be trifled with and that she shouldn't promise anything she cannot deliver. Papa shows up and wants to know if Dinah has reconsidered his offer. She declines again and says that she is not into snatching newborns (so she is declining the same deal that Marie and Fiona had with him). Dinah says she is only there because Cordelia paid her. Cordelia fills him in on what she wants. She wants him to open the gates to hell so that she can shove Michael in and trap him there. Seems like a great plan but Papa Legba wants a steep price to take part in something so dangerous. This is where Papa reveals he is not alone! He's brought Nan with him (who everyone remembers Fiona gave to Papa as part of a deal). Nan is doing great though and seems happy even though Cordelia is not happy about any of this (and even throws out a 'Fucking Fiona' for good measure).

Nan reveals that she likes hell. She likes causing trouble. Papa finally reveals that his price for helping to trap Michael is not just one soul, but the souls of all of the witches at the Academy. Nan begs Cordelia to accept. She wants to see her friends again as she misses them. Cordelia apologizes to Nan and says that she cannot accept. Papa immediately leaves after Cordelia declines. Dinah points out that now not only will Cordelia's 'girls' die but so will millions of other people. 

Back at the Academy Mallory is asking the others about the new Supreme. She wants to know if he is nice (he's not, Mallory, but he is hot). Coco interrupts their Supreme discussion to show off a new power she just discovered. She can now look at food and tell how many calories are in it. The witches have fun testing Coco's powers. It's a rather light moment that quickly turns dark when Coco starts choking on a piece of food. Everyone freaks out instead of helping her and Coco passes out. Mallory jumps into action and removes the chunk of food by magically creating an incision in Coco's neck and taking it out which restores airflow. Coco is fine and Zoey is seriously impressed. There isn't even a spell for what Mallory just did. This also makes me even more convinced that Mallory is going to play a role in the reversing of the apocalypse. Her powers are strong and she seems capable of turning thing back and restoring things to what they once were. I will be very surprised if this is not how this season ends. 

We next see Zoey run into Cordelia on the stairs. Cordelia is very weak. She gets Zoey to help her to her room. She reveals to Zoey that she is in no condition to fight Michael. Zoey mentions that she thinks Cordelia is fading because Mallory is the new Surpreme, not Michael. This makes sense and would be a much more welcome outcome but I really don't want to Cordelia to die.

Myrtle and Bubbles are hosting their dinner. They offer it up to Ariel and Baldwin as a way to apologize for their past behaviour (such as calling Ariel a pathetic pompous ass). Myrtle says she wants this dinner to be an example for both the covens and show that they can come together. Over some good food and a lot of wine, Myrtle and Bubbles discover that the warlocks are just as awful as I thought. Ariel thinks about how happy he is that John is nothing more than a pile of ash. They both think about how much they hate the witches and how they can't wait to kill all of them. Bubbles manages to remain neutral throughout dinner. It's rather jarring to see them laughing and having a good time when their thoughts are so full of hate. Bubbles reveals the truth to Myrtle as soon as the warlocks leave the table and they agree to tell Cordelia. 

Mallory is upset that her rising means that Cordelia will have to fall. Cordelia tells her that it is okay and that it is the way that it works. She will be heartened to leave the coven in such capable hands. Behold is disgusted that they are drinking and having a good time when there is an Antichrist on the loose. Myrtle is quick to remind him that he helped in Michael's ascension. Cordelia  tells them that they will stop Michael but she wants to celebrate because it could be the last time they have a chance to. Cordelia reveals that she has known this was coming for some time. It made her break a vow she had made and bring Myrtle back. I am so glad we finally get to see how Cordelia brought Myrtle back! We last saw Myrtle being burned at the stake so I was curious. Two years prior to this is when Cordelia performed the spell to bring Myrtle back. It's a very cool looking spell as it appears like her hand is burning from the inside. Myrtle is sad that Cordelia broke her promise but softens when Cordelia breaks down crying and asks for guidance. Cordelia shares with the coven that she had to do everything she could to prepare them for what was coming. Now that they are all united and ready she wants to take the first shot and go on the offensive with the warlocks!

Part one of the plan is to bring back John! Zoey uses her powers to collect all of the dust that is his remains. Cordelia tells Mallory to bring him back. This also happens to be her last test for the Seven Wonders. It, of course, works. Welcome back, Chyenne Jackson. The witches reveal to John that his fellow warlocks conspired against him. He reveals that it was a woman who killed him. This means that part two of the plan is getting this woman.

Cordelia approaches Coco while she is trying to eat ice cream. Turns out that knowing how many calories are in something makes eating some things really hard. Cordelia wants Coco's help with her next plan and Coco agrees. It involves approaching and distracting Michael's caretaker so they can capture her. It works like a charm since the caretaker is too busy shooting Coco (with what turns out to be tranquilizer bullets) that she is easily taken.

Back at the warlock school Baldwin reveals a chemical powder that makes people bleed out of their pores. He also reveals that he has modified it so that it only impacts women. This is how they plan to take out the witch coven. Ariel muses that he wonders what the witches would say if they could see what they've done. Cordelia walks in and tells them that a lady witch already made this exact powder years ago so she would say it is plagiarism. All they've done is switch the genders around. The witch who first made it was burnt at the stake before she could use it which Myrtle thinks is a shame. Cordelia makes the powder disappear by setting it on fire. Ariel, who is annoyed, tells her that her powers have already waned. This makes Cordelia even more angry and she uses magic to seal the warlock's mouth shut. She taunts him with this great line:

It was great. I fist pumped. Cordelia is a queen. I am so happy to see the warlocks get what was coming to them.

The group of witches lead both Ariel, Baldwin, and Michael's caretaker to the place where they carry out the burning of guilty witches and warlocks. She tells them their crimes (killing John) and says that since it is against their laws for witch to start the fire that burns a warlock she'll let their fellow warlock have the honour and John swaggers on over in a great coat and hat. Seriously, Cheyenne Jackson looks so hot here. He gives them a little wave as he walks by. John grabs the rest of the gasoline and pours it all over the caretaker. John makes a little joke that made me laugh for far too long:

Cordelia never undid the spell that sealed their mouths closed which makes what happens next even more terrifying. Imagine being burned alive and not even being able to scream as it is happening.

The caretaker uses John's invitation for last words to spout off some stuff about Satan and being excited to join his kingdom. It's all unsettling and made even more so when she laughs. John is over it and magically lights the torches that will set the stakes on fire. Nobody screams and the caretaker burns with a demented smile on her face. 

The episode ends with Cordelia and John leading the rest of the coven away from the fires and looking completely badass as they do it. The struts on Sarah Paulson and Cheyenne Jackson though! 

See you next week where we get to see Michael's reaction to all of this which I predict will not be good. I am just excited for next week because this was a Michael less episode and I very much want Cody Fern back on my television screen.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse - Boy Wonder

We're already at the fifth episode of this season which means we are halfway through the season. This episode, entitled Boy Wonder, brought back some other familiar faces, showcased why Sarah Paulson is regularly my favourite part of this series, and set up the rest of the season to be quite interesting.

With the usual reminder of spoilers lets break down what happened. 

We begin where last week's episode left off. Cordelia fainted when Michael brought back Queenie and Madison. While unconscious we see that Cordelia has a vision of the apocalypse ... complete  with zombies. Her powers are useless against the zombies who begin to tear pieces of her flesh away. As this is happening Cordelia sees a white faced demon looking man who seems to be controlling the zombie horde. He laughs as they eat her (which is rude).

Cordelia awakens and immediately wants to know what is going on. The other witches tell her she was passed out but yelling for them in her sleep. She is properly reunited with Madison and Queenie. Madison is all snark and wanting to know if they even knew she was dead. Zoe assures her that they knew. This is perhaps one of my favourite moments because the inference is that they didn't do anything about it. Cordelia though is very happy to have everyone back. 

It's super cute to see them all back together. Once the reunions are over Cordelia instantly demands to see Michael. The warlocks show concern over the fact that she fainted to which Cordelia admits she was not prepared to see 'her girls' and reacted. Michael tells her that he needed to get her attention. Cordelia says that he has it but she needs everyone's attention first. She tells them of her vision of the apocalypse. She mentions the man with the white demonic face. John questions if there was any warning. Cordelia admits she is not sure but she needs to act because what happens may depend on the decisions she makes now. She announces that Michael will take the test of the Seven Wonders during the next blood moon (which Myrtle is not a fan of at all). She tells Michael that if he succeeds that he'll be the next supreme and that it'll change everything.

Once the witches are back at their own house Myrtle wastes no time demanding to know what Cordelia is thinking letting a warlock take the test. She is seething. She spits out that the entire concept of the 'Alpha' is just a fairytale the warlocks tell themselves. She goes on to list men who were terrible leaders and claims that history hasn't shown men to be all that great in that department. Cordelia tearfully admits that she is scared. She has seen the future and it ends with all of 'her girls' dead. She is worried that it is her hubris that leads them down this path. Her inability to see the possibility of this boy being the next Supreme. Myrtle reminds her that passing the Seven Wonders test doesn't mean you'll be a great Supreme as Cordelia's mother showed. Myrtle tells her that there are plenty of options within their own walls and mentions that Mallory was able to bring a young fawn  back from the dead. She didn't just heal the wounds, she undid them which impressed Myrtle. Cordelia reminds her that it was Michael who brought Queenie back. That takes some real power. Myrtle wants the test delayed until Mallory has time to blossom. Cordelia reveals that she doesn't have time. Her powers and strength are fading. She bluntly states that she is dying and shows off a section of graying flesh on her stomach. Myrtle tearfully tells Cordelia that it is not fair as she has just reached her prime. They are interrupted by Mallory who advises Cordelia that her next appointment has arrived.

The appointment is none other than Coco! Her father is bringing her to the school as she has shown magical ability. Coco's big talent is a knack for being able to determine when something has gluten in it (she discovered this when she saved her brother's life by preventing him from eating a biscotti that had gluten in it). Coco is supremely unimpressed that this is all she can do. Cordelia tells her that her powers are being able to recognize when something is dangerous and in her opinion that is a great place to start from. Cordelia convinces Coco to stay by giving a rousing speech out how if Coco will only trust her she can get her powers to blossom. Cordelia has Mallory show Coco around and it seems that the two were perhaps good friends.

As the blood moon nears the warlocks of the school for boys gather to cast a protection spell on Michael to aide him in his test. They bless him with salt from the earth, water from the sea, and blood from the body. These are meant to protect and purify. It's a pretty ritual with blue flames and everyone is really excited except for John who sees the same white faced demon that Cordelia did when he looks at Michael. This causes John to want to peace out. He goes and starts packing a bag. He is caught by another of the teachers (whose name is Behold) who calls him out. He tells John that all of this disrespect is beneath him. John wants answers though. He shares that he saw that white face demon too. Behold chalks it up to jealousy and tries to prevent John from leaving. John easily moves Behold out of the way with a wave of his hand and a biting line:

John says he is not jealous but rather afraid and leaves while Behold is still stuck against the wall.

John is driving to Cordelia and has to stop for gas. I am immediately screaming for him to get back in the car because nothing good is going to come out of this. While he is waiting for the car to fill up Michael's caretaker shows up. She plays like she can't put gas in her own car and while he is helping her she leans down to pick up something she drops and attacks his ankles with a knife. He falls and she cuts his throat. She pours some gasoline on him and throws a match on top of him as she is driving away. Goodbye, Cheyenne Jackson ... we barely got to see you. Goodbye, John ... the only voice of sanity at that school.

The caretaker immediately drives to see Michael. They embrace like a mother being reunited with her son. It would be cute if they weren't the Antichrist and a Satan worshiper. He literally runs into her arms. It's too precious. Michael wants to know if she did what he asked. She says John is taken care of. Michael reveals that 'these people' are the only ones who could be a threat to him. He wants to destroy the coven from within once he becomes the Supreme. So this was a plan to get him into the school and take over because witches/warlocks are the only threats to him. Interesting and also further proves that Michael isn't an actual warlock. The caretaker reveals that Ariel was part of the plan to get rid of John and urges Michael to not talk about his father in front of the warlocks. This, for whatever reason, made me laugh. Ariel joins them and says he was not going to sit by and let John ruin their chances of having a warlock Supreme. In other words, he was totally fine with John being killed if it meant the women didn't run things anymore. The entire lot of warlocks are not very smart at all (minus John, he knew what was going on). 

It is finally the blood moon and it is time for Michael to take the Seven Wonders test. We get a montage of him passing each hurdle effortlessly. First up is Telekinesis, followed by Concilium (mind control). Transmutation is next. This is followed by Divination, and Pyrokinesis. The last two are Vitalum Vitalis (bring something back from the dead) and Descensum (going into the Underworld and coming back). You can see the warlocks getting more and more excited as Michael sails through the tasks and the witches getting more and more worried. As Michael reaches his final task, Descensum, Cordelia puts an added twist to the task. She wants him to retrieve Misty Day while he is down there. The warlocks are outraged as this is not part of the official test. Cordelia points out that she is doing this because the next Supreme is going to have to be stronger because of her vision. Ariel calls bullshit. He thinks she is just afraid to let go and allow Michael to take over. Cordelia isn't having it. They bicker back and forth with Ariel accusing Cordelia of trying to kill Michael during these tasks. He compares her to her mother (who actually did kill potential new Supremes) which Cordelia does not like. She bites back with what is perhaps my favourite exchange:

She reminds him that she has humoured the warlocks and coddled their fragile egos but that doesn't mean that they actually get a say. She reminds him that she outranks him so he needs to fall in line because she is the Supreme. Michael tells them that he'll do it. He'll get Misty back. 

Michael descends and finds himself in Misty's version of hell. The one where she has to keep killing the frog over and over. She's distraught and begging for it to stop. We see it happen over and over until Michael kills the teacher who forces Misty to kill the frog. He guts the teacher and it is a bloody gory mess. Misty is kind of in awe and asks if he is there to save her. Michael then awakens back in the school with Misty following shortly after. Cordelia is in shock. Michael is drained and stumbles over to lean against a table.

Cordelia cradles Misty like she's a treasure. It's really sweet and people are shipping them and I entirely get it. I kind of hope they end up together at the end of all this.

All the other witches welcome Misty back. As this is happening Cordelia gets a nose bleed. The warlocks begin to celebrate this sign of the Supreme weakening. We've seen Michael get a nose bleed before after a big display of power so I can't help but think he pushed his nose bleed onto Cordelia somehow.  Misty senses something from Michael for sure though.

Ariel demands what is rightfully theirs. He wants Cordelia to name Michael as the next Supreme. Michael points out that he passed all seven of the tests and even sasses her by saying "unless you want to add another one". Cordelia relents and says that there is no doubt that Michael is the next Supreme before she faints again. Michael is very pleased. 

Cordelia is resting and regaining some of her strength. Misty brings her a tea. There is a lot of smiling at each other. Cordelia tells Misty that she knew her for only a short time but that she missed her forever. Yup, these two are totally adorable. Misty tells her that they should have left her where she was. She says Michael gives her the creeps. There is something wrong with him. While Michael was 'saving her' Misty recounts that after the killing of the teacher the students all began speaking in unison in a strange language. Their eyes went white and their heads were thrown back. Misty tells Cordelia that Michael was listening and that evil was speaking to him. Cordelia muses that perhaps Michael was negotiating her release from hell. Misty isn't buying it thought. She says that she has never smelled anything like Michael before (she calls it the 'perfume of death'). Myrtle is even less enthused that Michael is the next Supreme. Cordelia assures them that he will never be the Supreme. She reveals that she only let Michael take the test to determine how powerful he is. She also used him to get all of 'her girls' back so she has a full fledged coven. Michael inadvertently made them more powerful. Cordelia isn't stupid. 

Misty bemoans that she cannot fight. She was in hell so long that she is all out of sorts. Cordelia tells her that she has done enough. Misty brought them the first proof that Michael is not what he says he is and now she needs to heal. She's arranged for a surprise,  The White Witch (aka Stevie Nicks). Stevie performs a song and dances with Misty. It's all very lovely and witchy. We see Cordelia leave the room during this which catches Michael's attention. Cordelia, it turns out, is having a meeting with Madison. She wants her to use all of her training to find out everything she can about Michael because he is dangerous. Madison questions why Cordelia doesn't assume that she'd be loyal to Michael. He was the one who brought her back, not the witches. Cordelia points out that Madison is only loyal to herself. It turns out Behold was eavesdropping on them and he wants to go along. He reveals that he has his own concerns about Michael. Cordelia agrees that they can go together and gives Madison the address. When Madison asks what is so special about where they are going Cordelia simply replies 'it's where it all began' and we get a shot of the Harmon's old home (aka Murder House).

We're going back to the first season in the next episode! We're going to see more of Michael's upbringing and I expect the Harmons, Tate, and maybe some of the other ghosts! Those missing Evan Peters' face should be happy with next week's episode as I expect he'll be all over it. I am really excited to see these characters again!

American Horror Story: Apocalypse - Forbidden Fruit

Episode three of this season, titled Forbidden Fruit included a whole lot of murder, the demise of one of my theories, and the reveal of who exactly is responsible for robot Kathy Bates. 

With the usual reminder of spoilers lets break down what happened. 

The episode opens with various people talking to Michael. More interviews it seems. I love how each blends into the next so seamlessly as Michael walks around the room. Michael tells Timothy there is no need to thank him for saving he and Emily from execution. Michael calls it a 'minor infraction' and that it shouldn't keep out a viable candidate. We're then shown Mr Gallant who is confused and says "but I killed my Nana" to which Michael replies that Evie died peacefully in her sleep. He tells who we think is Mr Gallant to trust him but we see it is actually Timothy he is talking to. He shares that he has a gift for seeing into the darkness of people which prompts Mallory to insist she doesn't have a darkness. Michael calls that nonsense. He knows Mallory would love to brutally kill Coco and that counts as darkness. She admits Coco drives her insane but that doesn't mean she wants her dead. Coco admits that she wanted to fire Mallory plenty of times but kept her around because it was easier than finding new help. Michael shares that he doesn't think she is capable of true darkness, she's much too shallow for that kind of negativity. It's revealed that this is said to Dinah who takes offence to this suggestion. It is also revealed that Dinah is a witch and she and Michael have met before. Excuse me?! This is huge news. He shares he was surprised to see her when he arrived. He is worried she might cause trouble. She says she is not powerful enough to stop whatever he has planned. She just wants to get to the sanctuary. He tells her that she will because she is exactly what he is looking for. It jumps to Andre who is describing his mother as 'evil'. His mother is Dinah! Second bombshell in less than a few minutes. Michael muses that Mallory is under the impression that he is looking for those who are pure of heart. Michael doesn't want that at all. He wants those who 'wouldn't just eat from the fruit of the forbidden tree but would cut the fucking tree down and burn it for firewood'. He wants a world without hypocrisy and thinks that Mallory is perfect for just such a world. Mallory asks to leave and Michael picks up on the fact that she is afraid. He pushes her and she admits she sometimes feels like there is something trying to claw its way out of her. Michael pushes her some more and Mallory ends up getting more anxious and attempts to storm out but Michael stops her. This is where we learn that Mallory has powers and is also a witch because she snaps!

She pushes Michael back WITH HER MIND and he reacts by getting angry and showing her his demon face (which is way less pretty than his usual face). Mallory can also control fire as she does a neat trick with the fire in the the fireplace. Michael astonished asks her who she is and she replies that she doesn't know and runs way. Guys, this is only the cold open. I need a drink.

Michael, obviously worried about all the witches that are all over the place, runs and does a ritual of some kind where he is begging his 'father' for help. I am guessing he means the devil and not Tate. He says he thought he destroyed them all but obviously one survived. He begs his father to open his eyes. The blood he's spread on the floor begins to bubble and a snake slithers out as Michael rubs blood all over himself. This season is definitely the 'lust' season if the rumours of each of the season representing a different deadly sin are true.

We next to get learn about Miriam's past. She is trying to work through the realization that she is a freaking robot but has memories of her past. She remembers a few of her more memorable Halloween's such as the first time she went trick or treating by herself (and dressed up as Rosie the robot from the Jetson's), the first time she went on a date with a boy (a horror movie with a boy who got handsy), and the first time she murdered someone as a government agent (a terrorist in Maryland). She doesn't understand why she has these memories if she didn't actually experience them. She also remembers a beautiful boy with blonde hair that she took care of. She knows she loved him but she cannot quite recall his face. He's a blur. She guesses that she lost him because every time she thinks of him she cries. She muses that these must all be responses that programmed into her. She never had a childhood, a family, or love. She's nothing more than a machine. Ms Venable tells her that she does have a family - her. Ms Venable tells her that her purpose is still to protect the outpost. She asks what memories she might have of the Cooperate or Michael. I am guessing Ms Venable thinks the Cooperative built Miriam. Miriam says she doesn't have any. Ms Venable says that she doesn't trust Michael to pick the right people to go to the sanctuary. She mentions that Michael has told her that she isn't one of the chosen few going. This makes Miriam incredulous. Ms Venable must go. She suggests killing everyone (including Michael) and using Micchael's laptop to find the sanctuary. Ms Venable thanks her for her loyalty to which Miriam states that she is programmed to be loyal. Miriam's storyline just makes me sad now.

We also get an answer to what happened to Brock, Coco's boyfriend that she left in Santa Monica. We see him approach a group of guys who are roasting a dead person (so cannibals, great). He tells them he is looking for his girlfriend and that he heard of an outpost around here. A carriage like the one Michael came in approaches so Brock hitches a ride underneath. I don't even know how he survived.

The carriage has a crate filled with apples. The forbidden fruit title for the episode makes a lot of sense now. Ms Venable and Miriam verify that there is no radiation on the crate or apples. They muse about where they can from. Ms Venable speculates the sanctuary and that Michael had them shipped to show off what the chosen ones will enjoy once they make it there. Ms Venable can barely contain herself and takes a bite. Ms Venable sends her other assistant to 'take care of the horses' that brought the shipment and immediately starts to plot with Miriam on how to best use the apples in their plan to kill everyone. They're going to put poison from the snakes into the apples. They are going to throw a party to celebrate Halloween so that everyone eats the apples at the same time.

Ms Venable calls an emergency meeting. She apologizes for 'punitive measures that may have gone too far' and offers up the Halloween party as a way to make amends. She encourages them to make costumes and reminds them that attendance is mandatory. 

Mr Gallant and Coco reminisce about previous Halloweens as Mr Gallant does an elaborate hair updo for her. They muse that perhaps the party is where Michael is going to announce who gets to go to the sanctuary. Mr Gallant cautions that he thinks those who have been chose already know. This panics Coco but Mallory agrees with Mr Gallant. She tries to tell them about the fire and pushing Michael back with her mind. She thinks the radiation changed her and that she has powers now. Coco and Mr Gallant just laugh at her though. They demand she prove it and challenge her to do it again. Mallory tries and nothing happens prompting Coco to be even meaner to her. I wish Mallory would have just burned her.

The party centerpiece is a bobbing for apples game which is how Ms Venable and Miriam are going to carry out their plan to kill everyone. Ms Venable reminds us that Halloween is when the veil between the living and the dead is the weakest (a shout out to Hotel) and she urges everyone to savour this night as if it is their last. She encourages them to dance and be merry. 

Brock, who is now inside the outpost grounds, wastes no time in killing a guard and stealing his key. He makes his way to the party (after stealing a costume) and immediately goes to Coco. She incorrectly assumes it is Michael under the mask. She offers him sexual favours to get into the sanctuary. She leads him to the bedroom and Brock reveals himself. He is still pissed about being left in Santa Monica. Coco asks what happened to him and the list is not a nice one: cancer, radioactive fallout, cannibal attacks just to name a few. Coco realizes that Brock is still angry though and she's right. He's angry enough to stab her in the head quipping 'Happy Halloween, Bitch' as he does. Goodbye, Coco. 

Meanwhile, people have started to play the bobbing for apples game. Ms Venable encourages them to wait until everyone has an apple before the eat them. Miriam rushes in and tells Ms Venable that they have to put the breaks on the plans because they cannot find Michael and Coco. Ms Venable isn't worried. They'll bring the festivities to Michael after everyone else is dead since he declined their invitation. The next few scenes are a contrast of everyone happily playing and laughing while bobbing for apples and scenes showing the apples being prepared with the snake poison. Once everyone has one Ms Venable encourages them to eat and almost immediately after taking a few bites the poison starts to impact everyone. It's gross and horrific. It looks painful as everyone gasps as they try to breathe and vomits everywhere while shaking. Ms Venable and Miriam just smile and look on proudly. We pretty much just lost a majority of our cast. Good thing a few of them will be playing other characters ( looking at you, Evan Peters). Also, there goes my theory that Mr Gallant would cut Michael's hair. Sigh. 

They go down to inspect their handy work. Ms Venable muses that the whole thing was messier than she would have hoped. They decide to go finish the job and kill Michael. They find him in his room and inform him that they will be making the decisions from now on. Michael laughs and advises her that she passed the test. She's perfect for the sanctuary. Ms Venable responses by telling Miriam to follow through with the plan which is to shoot Michael. I don't even think that would work but sure. Michael, once again, shows another of the powers that Supreme holds and uses mind control to have Miriam turn the gun on Ms Venable and shoot. It's a good thing Sarah Paulson is playing two other roles this season. So many people have died and we're only 3 episodes in!

Miriam is upset. She expresses that she was always loyal to Ms Venable. Michael assures her that she was just following orders like she is programmed to do. His commands specifically. The poisoned apples plan was his idea. Miriam is surprised that Michael wanted everyone dead.

Michael believes that all people if given the right circumstances are capable of evil. This also makes it clear that Michel doesn't consider Tate his father. Tate got his hands dirty. Michael is a lot like Tate actually, but he's talking about the devil here. Miriam, who seems to be in shock, expresses that she doesn't understand and says she is 'just a robot'. This upsets Michael. He tells her to never say that. He cares about her. He specifically had the Cooperative model her after a woman in his childhood who was dear to him. I am guessing this is his grandmother, Constance (Jessica Lange). That makes the most sense. Miriam realizes that he is the beautiful boy she has hazy memories of which thrills Michael. He tells her the that he had to keep the more important part of her hidden to protect her and plan. It's now time for her to know everything because he cannot imagine the new world he wants to build without her by his side. She was the only person who ever understood or loved him. They embrace and it is actually kind of sweet. I guess even Antichrists need a mother figure. 

We follow the camera through the outpost and outside to see the arrival of three figures. As they come into focus we see it is the some of the Coven witches, specifically Cordelia, Madison, and Myrtle. They are not in protective gear but seem fine and look amazing.

They enter the outpost and Cordelia tells Madison and Myrtle to go find their 'sisters'. They bring Dinah, Mallory, and Coco back. Cordelia uses her powers to bring them back to life! So, I guess Coco is also a witch? Michael is going to be extremely pissed that he really hasn't killed all of the witches. Seems like he killed pretty much none of them. As the three women wake with gasping breaths Madison kneels down in front of Mallory and says her classic line:

Odd thing to say to someone you just met so this tells me that Mallory and Madison know each other and that it perhaps was not the best interaction. I mean, Madison is calling her a bitch. 

Now that the witches have entered the picture I am shifting my theory. I think Michael is not a witch. He wanted to kill them. I think they are the only ones that are a threat to him so he tried to take them out. In the Roanoke season we see the first Supreme (Scáthach) perform some magic that made Thomasin White and the other members of the colony ghost like figures that haunted the grounds. Very similar ghosts to those at Murder House. What if one of those 'ghosts' slept with a human and got her pregnant which is what, as we learned in Murder House, creates an Antichrist. My theory is that the witches were then given powers that could rival the Antichrist as a means to pay penance for Scáthach's role in creating them in the first place. The Antichrist has these powers naturally and therefore the witches needed them to fight back. The Supreme is the witch that is capable of doing all seven of these powers so it is almost like she specifically has the penance of destroying them. This would, of course, mean that multiple Antichrists have existed which I think works for the world this is set in. 

I honestly think the witches are here to undo the apocalypse and stop Michael. It is going to be a shame if that pretty face gets messed up BUT the Coven witches are so bad ass. I am also excited to see the Harmons and everyone at Murder House again.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse - The Morning After

Episode two of this season, titled The Morning After, included more sassy Michael, the return of Rubber Man, and one heck of a reveal. In other words, it was a crazy episode from start to finish.

With the usual reminder of spoilers lets break down what happened. 

Emily gets a scare when she hears noises while getting ready for bed. She, unwisely, decides to investigate and discovers multiple snakes in her room. Pretty sure some of them are poisonous. Her screams draw both Timothy (her Knight in Shining Armour) and Miriam (along with another of Ms Venable's staff). Miriam quips that they at least have a form of protein to eat now. Emily questions, quite reasonably, whether the snakes might be contaminated. Miriam states she doesn't see any mutations and that the snakes will be scanned first. She seems delighted to be eating the snakes (no, thank you). 

Dinner that night is, unsurprisingly, a snake stew. When there are complaints about eating snake Andre is quick to remind everyone that they ate his boyfriend. The topic of conversation at dinner is, naturally, the new arrival to the outpost. Ms Venable promises their questions will be answered after dinner and demands that everyone eat. They pull the covers off their dishes only to discover LIVE snakes slithering out of the bowls. Snakes that were totally dead and cut into pieces just a few seconds before. Again, I say no thank you to all of this.

After the excitement of dinner everyone meets up in the library so that Michael can make his very splashy entrance. Sorry, but Cody Fern is owning this season and this role. His strut, his cool gaze, and that smirk. It is all working for me. My favourite part of his entrance? Getting into Ms Venable's personal space to make her uncomfortable enough to cede the floor to him. 

He introduces himself as Langdon and tells them that the other outposts in Syracuse, NY, Beckley, WV and San Angelo, TX have been overrun. He also advises that there has not been word from the three other international outposts. He takes great pleasure in telling everyone that the people inside were massacred when asked. He tells them about the sanctuary but refuses to answer most of their questions because in Michael's words "it's classified". Classified information includes who is currently living at the sanctuary. Michael tells them that all they need to worry about is the fact that he is going to decide who gets to join them. He is going to do this using the technique developed by The Cooperative. It's called Cooperating and mainly seems to consist of an interview. Coco declares that she paid her way into this and that is all the cooperating she plans to do. Michael tells her she can decline to be questioned but that means she'll for sure die. Mr Gallant immediately volunteers to be first and Michael obliges. Michael leaves them with what he considers a bit of hope - capsules that he will give to those not chosen that put the taker into a sleep from which they won't wake from in case the 'feral cannibals' come knocking. Again, ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE! He smirks as he tells them he looks forward to meeting them all. 

The group immediately beings arguing about who is going to be chosen. Coco thinks she will be (and I expect nothing less from her) but so does Evie. Coco is incredulous at this. She snarks that they want people who can repopulate the earth not bingo halls. Evie claims to only be fifty two years old which gets an eye roll from most of the group. 

We cut to Mr Gallant's 'interview' with Michael. Mr Gallant wants to know what Michael is looking for. Michael immediately starts to play mind games by saying that the things Mr Gallant expects him to want may not be what he is looking for. He also promises that if Mr Gallant isn't truthful or tries to trick him that Michael will know. The questioning starts with Michael wanting to know Mr Gallant's sexual orientation. He replies that he is gay but quickly reassures Michael that he could get a woman pregnant if needed because he had sex with one in college. Mr Gallant, obviously, is taking Coco's words to heart and trying to prove he can be useful repopulating the earth. Michael isn't interested in that though. He tells Mr Gallant that he is not needed to impregnate anyone. He then wants to know about Mr Gallant's anger, specifically when it comes to his grandmother. Michael seems to be able to see into Mr Gallant. Telling him how his grandmother shamed him in the past. He demands that Mr Gallant tell him who he really is. Mr Gallant inquires if he wants a confession. Michael muses that he is certainly no priest and doesn't even know if he believes in a god. He thinks religion is just a bunch of rules designed to keep order but there is no need for rules any longer because chaos has won. 

Mr Gallant then shares how his grandmother used to try to set him up with a bunch of boring gay guys via these stuffy dinner parties and to piss her off he would come in to these dinners and be as outlandish as possible. Dressed in leather, blasting music, and drinking his bisque out of a mask that looks a lot like a gas mask. It is highly entertaining. Mr Gallant then asks Michael if he is also gay. Michael inquires if the idea of him being gay excites Mr Gallant who replies with a very quick 'yes'. Mr Gallant inquires what Michael is going to do about that and the answer is to end the interview. 

Mr Gallant, sexually frustrated, goes back to his room to masturbate while thinking about Michael. We get flashes of Michael during the interview and performing some kind of ritual that looks a lot like the one Cordelia used to try to get pregnant in Coven. 

Is Michael a witch? Could he even be the Supreme? This would change everything we know from Coven because male witches were not really addressed in Coven. I am guessing it is because the school was a girls school but it just seemed to be more rare. Is this just his powers as the Antichrist? So many questions from just this brief tease. 

 There is a knock at the door and when Mr Gallant calls for the person to enter the Rubber Man walks in. Mr Gallant thinks it is Michael under the suit and jokingly inquires if this is round two of their interview. I am willing to bet it is not Michael though. The two immediately begin having sex which is overheard/witnessed by Evie. Oh, no! She is scandalized to see her grandson like this but immediately realizes she can use it to her advantage. Bitch is going to sell her own grandson out. She immediately goes and tells Miriam.

Timothy and Emily are tired of surviving on their one kiss a week. Emily wants to get out and suggests sneaking into Michael's room to find out where the sanctuary is. This is a bad idea. Nothing good can come from this. They sneak into Michael's room when they see him leaving. Apparently the Antichrist gets email even in a nuclear apocalypse because they find a computer with recent emails on it. Michael has been emailing the Cooperative about Ms Venable. Seems he is not happy about her breaking the rules. We get a quick glimpse of the email and it looks like he has marked Ms Venable and Gallant for something. I bet nothing good. Timothy and Emily should be careful though because the Rubber Man has seen everything they just did and I bet he's loyal to Michael. 

Next is Ms Venable's turn to be interviewed. Michael immediately tells her that he is on to her. He knows she created her own rules and that he understands how easy it would be to be seduced by the power of making this place into her image. She argues that she received all her orders from the Cooperative. Michael tells her that he drafted all of the communication about how the outposts were to be ran effectively backing her into a corner. Ms Venable tries to hurt his ego by claiming that a man like himself could not handle the fact that a woman had more information than him. She gives an impressive speech about the men who swing their dicks around and have to be 'masters of the universe' which resulted in the mess they are in because their dick swinging resulted in the earth being nuked. 

Micheal is unimpressed and tells her that she needs to be aware what is really going on outside the outpost. He tells a story of a woman and her two children who were far enough away from the blast but still not protected by the radiation. Her one child was dead and she begged Michael to kill the other one because she couldn't do it herself. Ms Venable asked if he helped the woman and Michael easily replies 'no'. 

Michael then asks who Ms Venable thinks is worthy of saving. He inquires what she thinks of Coco to which Ms Venable replies that Coco is a 'vacuous abomination of inbreeding' and the last person she would save. She calls Mr Gallant a 'cowardly homosexual' and his grandmother 'a festering pustule who just will not die'.  She admits that she doesn't know much about Dinah. It's the most fun Ms Venable has been so far and I love it.

Michael tells her that they do not need to be adversaries. Even suggesting that it might just be him and her enjoying the sanctuary. Ms Venable is intrigued by this. Michael demands she take off her dress as part of her 'cooperation' includes a physical. He wants to see her shame. He wants to see the thing that humiliates her the most. He unzips her dress and pulls it open just enough to see her back and her crooked spine. He runs his hand over it (which is very sexy) while asking if it hurts. She says it does not. He tells her that it does bring her great pain to which she agrees. I am curious if she got this spinal deformity because of the radiation or if she was born with it. It explains the cane she walks with. 

This is also where we learn that Cody Fern has chemistry with everyone. He certainly had it with Evan Peters during their scenes together and he has it with Sarah Paulson here. The almost kiss that Michael teases Ms Venable with is super sexy. She is pretty much breathless and dying for him to kiss her. The Antichrist can seduce anyone basically. This feels like it is part of Michael's plan though. It's all part of the mind games he is playing on everyone. I half expect these 'interviews' are for his own amusement. 

Ms Venable asks if she passed her test to which Michael breathily tells her:

They are interrupted by Miriam who asks to speak to Ms Venable and gives Michael a death glare. Someone is jealous! Michael just smirks back at her and once again I suspect that even this is part of his games. He takes a deep inhale after they leave almost as if he is enjoying the taste of the emotions in the air. I wonder if that is exactly what he is doing. Is this an Antichrist thing? 

Miriam fills Ms Venable in on Mr Gallant's indiscretions. Ms Venable is sure that the man in the rubber suit is Michael and that he and Mr Gallant know each other. She thinks they are plotting against her. They chain Mr Gallant up and whip him to get answers out of him but Mr Gallant stays strong. He refuses to rat out Michael and instead just yells out names of gay radicals with each lashing. Ms Venable stops the abuse when she realizes Mr Gallant is getting off on it. Of course Mr Gallant would be into S and M. They leave Mr Gallant chained up and walk out in disgust.

Michael comes into to visit Mr Gallant. Michael muses that greater man had succumbed to less. Mr Gallant tells him that he would have never have ratted him out for coming to his room. Michael tells him that he didn't go to his room and certainly didn't have sex with him. In fact, Michael goes on step further and tells Mr Gallant that:

He tells Mr Gallant that it is not because he's unattractive but because he is needy and desperate. This, obviously, hurts Mr Gallant. Michael isn't done though. He calls him pathetic and lets him know that Evie has reported him so even his grandmother is disgusted with him. Mr Gallant calls bullshit but Michael tells him to go ask her for himself. He exits the room and Mr Gallant's chains fall away (another display of Michael's powers).

Mr Gallant immediately goes to speak with his grandmother who doesn't even bother to lie. She admits she sold him out to further her chances of surviving. Mr Gallant screams in her face that she has lived but he hasn't. Evie spits back that he has packed a whole lot of screw ups into his short life. She financially backed three stints of rehab, fancy lawyers to help him evade prison time, and three bankrupt business attempts. She is ruthless in her undressing of him. Evie is such a heinous person. She is a racist and gross. Mr Gallant inquires why she couldn't just love him and she continues to be awful by telling him that it is just not in her nature. This conflict and strife is exactly that Michael must want though (and kind of the whole point of being the Antichrist, right?). 

Mr Gallant goes and silently weeps to some really sad music. Evan Peters is a really good single tear crier. Stevie Nicks comes on the radio and I immediately begin looking for the witches BUT sadly they are nowhere to be seen (for now). Instead, Mr Gallant heads back to his room where the Rubber Man is waiting. They begin to hook up again and Mr Gallant pushes him on the bed. Thinking that Rubber Man is Michael he snarks "wouldn't fuck me if I was the last man on earth" and grabs a pair of scissors and begins to stab him. Mr Gallant seems sort of in shock as the door opens to reveal Michael walking into his room. Mr Gallant looks down to see who he stabbed (since it wasn't Michael) and sees that instead of the Rubber Man dead in his bed it is his grandmother! I bet Michael is making people see things too!

Checking back in with Timothy and Emily who have discovered that the no sex rule is not mandated by the Cooperative immediately get busy having sex. Teenagers are going to be teenagers even in the apocalypse. They are caught and taken away to face their punishment. They reveal that they know Ms Venable is making her own rules and that the Cooperative doesn't care if they have sex. Ms Venable sneers that the world is falling apart and all they care about is having sex. She demands they be taken away to be shot. Once in the shower chambers where punishments are carried out Timothy decides to fight back. He manages to get a gun from one of the guards and shoots Miriam before being taken down. Miriam staggers out into the hall and inspects her wound. We discover that instead of blood there is a white substance gushing out of tubes. There are also wires instead of bones. Miriam is a freaking robot (or at least part robot)!

Thus ends our episode. I need to know more about how robots fit into this and what the heck is even happening. 

A few random thoughts while watching the episode:

- Coco and Madison meeting is going to be interesting. I bet they hate each other because they are a lot alike and probably not used to sharing the spotlight. 

- Did Micheal conjure the Rubber Man with the spell that he was doing? Is the Rubber Man not a person but an entity now?

- Did Michael also resurrect those snakes? Making it yet another Supreme power that he apparently possesses?
