The awesome Kelly at KellyVision started posting a weekly post highlighting whatever she happened to be obsessed with that week. I LOVE this idea, so much in fact that I will be doing it myself every Saturday.
This is popping up on a Sunday since I didn't have any books to share this week!
BOOKS My Favourite Murder Book News (goodreads)
My reaction to the news that Karen and Georgia would be writing a book was nothing short of embarrassing. I was lucky that I was on my break at work and not surrounded by people I have to be professional around.
I love the title so much! I cannot wait to see a cover for this and I hope there are ARCs because I want to read it as soon as I possibly can.
OTHER A Star Is Born On The Cover Of Entertainment Weekly
The fact that I am super into this movie has been well documented. I was also sort of expecting it to be the cover of an Entertainment Weekly issues sometime before its release. It is even better than I hoped it would be!
Canada, for whatever reason, seems to always be a week behind on Entertainment Weekly issues which means I won't get it until NEXT week but I am so excited to sit down and read everything. The fact that it also happens to be the fall movie preview issues is just icing on the cake.
What are you obsessed with this week? Let me know in the comments.

Last week's lack of reveals was made up for in a big way this week. So many exciting things were revealed and it'll only continue as we get closer to the fall season.
TV/MOVIE A Simple Favor Trailer
There were some teaser trailers for this movie released previously but we now have a full length one which gives us a little bit more detail about the actual plot.
I also did not realize that this was based off a book. I discovered this fact and now want to read it as soon as I can. It's by Darcey Bell and shares a title with the movie.
Mary, Queen Of Scots Trailer
Here we have another trailer for a movie with some Oscar buzz already attached to it. I was instantly hooked and bumped it up my 'must watch list' a few spots after this solid trailer.
Both Margot Robbie and Saoirse Ronan seem to be delivery impressive performances and I could easily see Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominations in their future. Expect the blog to have a few reviews of Oscar bait movies in the fall.
A Simple Favour Movie Poster
A new movie poster for A Simple Favor was also released with the full length trailer. I love everything about the marketing for this movie. The balance of something sinister with such bright colours just works really well here.
I also love the martini theme that Blake Lively's character has got going on.
The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina Key Art
With the official key art for season one being unveiled I think we can expect a trailer and release date in the near future. I am guessing Netflix will reveal something at Comic Con and that it might be an October release (which would be all kinds of perfect).
Salem takes central focus along with the iconic headband from the comics of the same name. I am so excited for this darker revamp and that I can binge it all at once.
You Key Art
You also release its key art and the tagline is pretty spot on for the novel this is based off of. It also make Penn Badgley seem extremely creepy (which is the entire point).
I hope that Penn nails this role because it could be a meaty one with a lot of flash. I also hope that the show leans into the more ridiculous elements of the novel. I want it to be what the book was and hope the show lets itself go to the dark and ridiculous.
OTHER
Entertainment Weekly's Breaking Bad Reunion
Breaking Bad is one of my favourite television shows of all time. I also really like whenever Entertainment Weekly does reunion issues. I was so excited when I saw that they had reunited the cast for the most current issue!
Canada always seems to be really behind on Entertainment Weekly issues so we probably won't get it for another week or two but I am looking forward to reading the article (especially what Anna Gunn has to say about all that Skyler hate).

So many things were revealed this week! Lots of covers, and other fun things to share, and I am so excited for this trend to continue as cover reveal season for summer 2018 gets underway.
I am really enjoying this series that twists these classic tales with steampunk elements and into one cohesive story. The first book was a Peter Pan retelling, the second was an Alice In Wonderland inspired tale and the last one seems to be taking us to visit the Wizard and certain Wicked Witch.
These covers always impress me. I am so excited to get my hands on this one!
Cover of Lucy Christopher's Storm-wake (goodreads)
Lucy Christopher's Stolen is one of my favourite books. I am always excited when a new novel from her is being released and this one sounds wonderful.
It sounds like there might be some magical elements to this one which is different from her usual books but I am so excited to dive in to this one!
I really enjoyed Caraval, the first novel in this series from Stephanie Garber. I was thrilled to see a release date and cover for the sequel. The cover is so pretty and will look amazing next to Caraval!
I am pretty sure that this novel may be focus on a different main character than the first, but nothing has been confirmed about the novel itself. I am still eagerly awaiting a synopsis so I can see what awaits in this sequel.
OTHER
Entertainment Weekly's Stranger Things issue
One of my favourite shows is on the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly. It has three different covers to choose from, and I am going to, obviously, get them all.
I am beyond excited for season two to premiere and it is so close now! I plan on binge watching it as soon as it is released because I have missed the people of Hawkins so much!

Lots of fun things to share this week. It's been a great week for exciting reveals.
BOOK
Cover of The Way You Make Me Feel by Maurene Goo (goodreads)
I love the colour pallette for this cover. It's vibrant and beautiful. The model and her pose are perfect. It immedaitely fits the story being told.
It makes me want to read this book even more because of how eye catching this is!
Cover of The Unfortunates by Kim Liggett (goodreads)
Kim Liggett's covers are always eye catching and this is no exception. I love the mix of prep school uniform and blood and it definitely makes a statement about what the book is about.
The colour scheme of black and white with the red offers a striking contrast and I predict this one will stand out on bookshelves.
TV/MOVIE
American Crime Story: Versace Teaser #1
Ryan Murphy's shows always have great teasers. I vividly recall the dog teaser for the previous season of American Crime Story. Now that the second season is getting closer we have two teasers that have been released.
The first focuses on Donatella laying flowers on her brother's coffin.
The lack of music soundtrack, and the natural beach sounds being used is striking. You also immediately sense the mourning that is happening even without seeing Penelope Cruz's face.
American Crime Story: Versace Teaser #2
The second teaser is more unsettling and it manages it without really showing you anything.
The serenity of the doves being broken by the gun shots is startling, and effective. I have high hopes for this season and cannot wait for it to premiere
OTHER Yuri On Ice Funko Pops
It is no secret that I love Funko Pops. I was so excited to see them announce some for the Yuri On Ice anime. I typically don't watch anime but found this one to be entirely adorable and fun.
First up is Yuri in his skating outfit. I love the clear bluish stand that they are on. It looks like ice.
Victor, Yuri's coach, is also represented and looks great!
Lastly, they also have made the other Yuri into a Funko as well (yes, there are two Yuris) and he is also in his skate wear. I intend to preorder all three and cannot wait to add them to my collection.
Walking Dead Entertainment Weekly covers
The Walking Dead will be celebrating its 100th episode this upcoming season and Entertainment Weekly is helping them celebrate with three amazing covers.
I don't even know which one I want more. I am partial to the group shot though since it has everyone. I am excited to add one of these to my Entertainment Weekly cover collections though.
It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews)
I have some ebooks and the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly to share with you this week!
I am a huge fan of all the shows Ryan Murphy has created (the ones on the FX network at least).
The newest season of American Crime Story is coming up and it is the focus of this week's Entertainment Weekly. I already adore the casting choices, and I cannot wait to see this season!
I love so much of this article, and how they are approaching the story. An official premiere date has not been announced, but I am hoping it is soon!
Next up I have some ebooks that I purchased recently. Some romance novels to enjoy by the pool this summer! These book sound really good, and I have my friend Emilie to thank for bringing one of them to my attention (so thank you Emilie).

Summer is officially here, but I am already missing the weather that allows me to curl up with a cup of tea, a blanket and a good book. I guess it is time for outside reading, ice cream and fruity wine beverages.
Lots of exciting things were announced this week, and here are the ones I have been most excited about. BOOK Marisha Pessl's YA Debut
It was announced that Marissa Pessl will be releasing her first young adult novel. I love Night Film by her so I was excited to hear she'd be releasing another book, and even more excited by the news that it would be young adult.
The title of the upcoming release is Neverworld Wake and the synopsis is basically everything I want in a book.
A group of teens who all attended the same elite prep school reunite a year after graduation. After a night on the town, the teens are faced with an impossible choice—only one of them can live and the decision must be unanimous.
That is not a choice ANYONE wants to make, but it instantly makes me want to ask a million questions. Mainly, why? Why do they have to make this choice? Who or what is making them? How long to do they have to choose? I can just tell it is going to be a discussion starting read and I cannot wait. There are also sci-fi elements to the story which isn't immediately evident from the synopsis. TV/MOVIE The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
I am so excited for the second season of American Crime Story. It will focus on the assassination of Gianni Versace and looks to be just as well crafted as the first season (which focused on the trial of OJ Simpson).
This week's issue of Entertainment Weekly has a feature story on the upcoming season and it is PERFECT. I always love the casting in Ryan Murphy's shows and this is no exception.
It was also just revealed that Finn Wittrock will be joining the cast in a minor role (he is playing a friend of the guy who murdered Gianni Versace) and that news has only increased my excitement level (which surprises nobody who has read this blog).
Fun fact - they are filming at house Gianni Versace lived in at the time of the murder. This is going to add a layer of realism to the show, but also sends shivers up my spine. Not sure I could do it myself.
