Lots of exciting things revealed this week! I am so excited about all the television announcements being made and all the upcoming reveals still to happen.

American Horror Story Season 7 Theme Revealed

The upcoming American Horror Story season has finally had its theme revealed! Ryan Murphy revealed it on his Instagram and Twitter pages yesterday and I am already loving the potential for this season.

So AHS will finally be delving into cults this year. Evan Peters has been announced as having his largest role to date, so I think we can safely assume he is the cult leader. The premiere date for this season is September 5th. I am already counting down the days.

Mr Mercedes Trailer

I am a huge fan of Harry Treadaway's acting. I loved him in Penny Dreadful and was thrilled when it was announced that he would be in the television adaptation of Stephen King's Mr Mercedes.

A trailer has been revealed, and the show looks like it is going to be intense!

I love that Harry Treadaway is playing the villain. I think he is going to be great in the role. I am loving all the amazing television that is coming our way this autumn!

The Snowman Trailer

This unsettling and creepy trailer has made me want to pick up this book. I am not even sure this premise should work, but the trailer makes it seem like it does.

I am not even sure creepy begins to describe this trailer. I am going to have to get the book before the movie comes out as I tend to prefer to read the book before going to see the movie.

Outlander Season Three Key Art

I enjoy the Outlander TV show, and especially like the cast they have. The show is about to debut its third season in the autumn and I cannot wait.

The key art released is perfect, especially after the events of season two.

It captures the romance and longing that I am sure will be present in the upcoming season.

San Diego Comic Con

This weekend is the huge convention in San Diego where a TON of trailers, news, and other pop culture goodness is revealed. I am going to include the announcements that made me especially excited next week, but for now I am so excited to see what will be revealed, and what we'll be fangirling about for months to come.

Cover of As I Descended by Robin Talley (goodreads)

All of the Fall 2016 covers are starting to be revealed, and I am in love with this cover for Robin Talley's newest novel. It suits the synopsis perfectly.

I love the cover scheme here. The moody/atmospheric cover fits with a Macbeth retelling. This is high on my list for Fall 2016 and the cover is just pretty wrapping on an already amazing sounding story.

I am a fan of simplistic covers. Less is more usually. I immediately loved this cover when I saw it. It's simple, but eye catching and immediately piques your interest.

This story of three sisters who must fight for a crown is a must read for me, and this cover just makes me all the more excited to have it in my hands.

I loved this novel, and I loved the hot pink, eye catching cover that was on the hardcover, BUT this paperback cover? This paperback cover is amazing.

These models perfectly capture Dawn Ius' Anne and Henry and it has a modern feel to it that fits the updated story perfectly. It's fun, and that also fits the novel. I am excited to see this one on shelves (and there may just be a giveaway closer to release!)

Penny Dreadful Season 3 Trailer

This trailer gave me goosebumps. From the haunting cover of 'You Don't Own Me' to Victor Frankenstein's proclamation that he wrote 'the bloody book' on sin, each and every single part of this trailer is phenomenal. 

Eva Green is a goddess and I am so excited to see what surprises her storyline has in store for us. I am so excited for more #Ethanessa goodness and my heart is already aching for my tragically doomed Victor. May cannot get here fast enough!

Sexy Outlander Photoshoot

Outlander graced the cover of Entertainment Weekly this past week. Along with a jaw droppingly sexy cover, there were some incredible photos inside.

This photo, which again shows that I prefer the less is more approach, is one of the tamer photos from the shoot, but it's one of the sexiest in my opinion. The way they are looking at each other is sexy. The placement of their hands is sexy. Check out the entire photo shoot, but been aware that some of the shots are perhaps a little NSFW.

Outlander Season 2 key art and trailer

I was a late to the Outlander party but when I finally decided to watch it I totally fell in love. The cast, the storyline, the romance! All of it is perfect.

The official season 2 trailer has been released and it has made me VERY excited for the show to return in April! I mean... this trailer!

The also released the key art for season two and it is STUNNING! How hot do the Frasers look? Big fan of Jamie's new hair cut! *swoon* and Claire looks beautiful.

Suicide Squad Funko Dolls

I am not usually into Funko Dolls. The only one I really REALLY want is the Lumiere one (from Beauty and the Beast). He is adorable. 

Now, Funko released their new Suicide Squad Funkos and they are awesome!!

I need the Harley Quinn and Joker Funkos! NEED!! I am so excited for this movie.

The cover for The Land of Ten Thousand Madonnas by Kate Hattemer (goodreads)

I love this cover. It's fun, and immediately captures the setting of the novel. I love travel novels, and this one has an interesting premise on top of all the wanderlust that is sure to spark from reading this. I can picture reading this by the pool! The cover just seems perfect for what the novel appears to be! Really excited for this one.

Hearts Made Of Black by Stephanie Garber (goodreads)

I saw this deal posted on The Hollywood Reporter. It seems that book and movie rights were sold quickly. This has piqued my interest as there is little detail released about the novel itself other than it's set in a unique setting and has sisters at it's core. I am looking forward to learning more about this intriguing title.

Outlander

I've binged the entire first season and I am in love. The last 2 episodes were hard to watch as they are completely unflinching BUT the series is so impressive that you'll immediately want to watch it again. I am desperate for season two which I hear doesn't air until April. It's going to be a long, long winter.

Cover of The Shadow Queen by C.J Redwine

It is no secret that I have a thing for fairytale retellings. Any and all of them usually catch my eye. I was intrigued by the sound of this Snow White retelling and the cover just cemented my need to read this.

Stunning right? I love the symbolism for the Snow White tale, and the darker tone they took with the iconic apple. So excited to read this one. This is, so far, one of my favourite covers of 2016.

Outlander

I am now 11 episodes into this show and am loving it so much! The 11th episode was by far my favourite. It's pretty much filled with all the swoons, tears, and other feelings. I am so invested in these characters now so I am going to be finishing up the season and will check out season two for sure.

Sequel to Red Queen (goodreads)

Epic Reads revealed the title for the sequel of Red Queen. If you've read this blog you are already aware how much I loved Victoria Aveyard's debut. I've been desperate for the sequel since I finished  and have been ravenous for ANY details about it.

The title for the sequel is ......

Amazing right? Whose sword is it? Why is it glass? Is it not a physical sword? So many questions and those answers will not be provided until Feb 9th. I'll be desperately trying to get my hands on an ARC in the meantime.

Black Rose by Bree Barton announcement (goodreads)

This is being called Pride and Prejudice meets Graceling and I am already VERY excited about this one. Here is the official announcement found on the author's twitter page with more details.

This sounds AMAZING. The wait for this one is going to be long however as it doesn't come out until 2017!

Outlander

I decided to check out the first episode of Outlander and I am hooked. I've only seen two episodes so far but I am loving Claire's outfits and am totally shipping her and Jamie. I am hoping to get to watch more episodes soon. Anyone else seen it?

New To My Book Closet

It's that time of the week again. Time to show you what bookish goodies made their way into my home and book closet (to be saved from the evil book eating cat monster named Aria). This is inspired by the various "mailbox" posts out there (eg. In My Mailbox by The Story Siren, and Stacking the Shelves by Tynga's Reviews).
