Heather Demetrios' Flail Worthy Surprise

If you look at this list you'll see a familiar blog name. I got teary eyed when Heather let us know this was going to be in the hardcover of Exquisite Captive. It's pretty mind blowing and totally awesome. A huge thank you to both Harper Collins and Heather for making this happen. Trust me when I say you want this book, and there is a fantastic pre-order campaign going on right now.

Such a striking, eye catching cover. The synopsis of this one also sounds amazing so it's high up on my wishlist. I love that the cover is so different from everything else out there right now.

The Conspiracy of Us cover (goodreads)

I love the colour scheme of this cover. The title treatment is pretty awesome too. I am excited to read this because of the awesome sounding synopsis too.

The Affair trailer

So one of my most anticipated shows of the autumn season finally has a premiere date. I am stunned by this teaser. It's intense, and I did not expect the murder mystery aspect to this. Who died?! That is the question and the answer better not be Joshua Jackson's character. (Side note, WHO CHEATS ON JOSHUA JACKSON?!)

American Horror Story: Freakshow trailer

Creepy. That is the first word that comes to mind. The freaky clowns that they've teased already scare me. The teaser has a lot of potential and I cannot wait for it to start.

Gotham 'Heros' Trailer

Heroes Aren't Born, They're Forged says the tagline for this trailer. It's possibly my favourite trailer after the brilliant one teasing the arrival of The Joker. The premiere is so close and I cannot wait.

Isla and the Happily Ever After

It's finally here! I don't get my copy until the 21st but it is officially available everywhere now! Is anyone reading? Is everyone totally in love? I can't wait to devour my copy as soon as I get my hands on it.

Gotham's newest trailer

Are you a Batman fan? Did you, in particular, fangirl over The Dark Knight? This trailer may make you need to watch Gotham.

So they're heavily teasing The Joker. I am hoping this version of The Joker is more on par with Heath Ledger's defining portrayal. Loving all the teases we've been getting, and if done properly this show has all the ingredients to be incredible.

Toronto Trip

I leave for Toronto next week for a work trip. I am fitting in some fun things while there however and cannot wait to go! I'll get to pick up my copy of Isla and the Happily Ever After while there. I anticipate it'll be what I read on my way back home.

Taylor Swift announcement

I am a huge Taylor Swift fan. I am very excited that we'll be getting another album from her soon. She has an announcement scheduled on Monday which many predict is going to be details of the new album. I am also hoping for details of her first single!

Joyride by Anna Banks (goodreads)

I came across this recently It's been described as Bonnie and Clyde meets Pretty In Pink. So obviously I need it. I am very excited to read this.

The Queen of the Tearling (goodreads)

I haven't been able to stop thinking about this since I finished reading it. I am dying to discuss it with people, so if you've read it let me know on Twitter or something and we can discuss! I have feelings about The Fetch in particular.

Gotham Teaser Trailer #2

Loving everything I've seen so far from this movie. It might be wishful thinking but that Welcome Home message written across that newspaper screams of The Joker, no? I am very excited to see what they do with the show, but everything seems very promising so far.

2015 Most Anticipated Event

I am busy planning my 2015 Most Anticipated Event. I tend to plan things really early, and get things set well in advance. I am in the process of contacting authors and publishers and such. I am really excited to share these titles with you though in Nov and Dec.

I love the water colour vibe this has, and the colour scheme. The synopsis sounds amazing. It's one of my most reads of the Winter 2015 season.

Isla and the Happily Ever After pre-order campaign

Obviously I want these buttons. Stephanie recently announced that you can get these buttons as part of a pre-order campaign for Isla and the Happily Ever After. Luckily I will be venturing to Toronto around the time of Isla's release and was able to secure a pre-order from Mable's Fables. If you want more information about the pre-order campaign (such as all the goodies you get and where you can pre-order) all the information is available on Penguin Teen's tumblr. Did I also mention all the copies are signed?! Run and pre-order now.

Gotham Villain's promo 

This show is basically my MUST see of Fall 2014. This promo shines a light on Gotham's darkest villains, and basically makes me wish the summer was over already (crazy talk, I know).

Cover of Atlantia by Ally Condie

I was not a big fan of Ally Condie's Matched series. I felt the first novel had a lot of potential, but didn't quite enjoy the sequels as much.

I am  however intrigued by the premise of her new book. It also has a STUNNING cover to entice me with.

I read that this was a stand alone and that actually appeals to me more. I felt Matched itself was strong, but the later novels didn't hold up, so perhaps a stand alone will work better. I love the tagline as it immediately induces shivers.

Excerpt from Isla and the Happily Ever After 

It's not a secret that I adore Stephanie Perkins' novels. They are truly wonderful. It should also be no surprise that I am eagerly awaiting the release of Isla and the Happily Ever After. We recently were teased (tortured, same thing) with a chapter excerpt. It's adorable, and perfect. 'Thank you, slutty funnel' may just be one of my favourite lines. It already has heart, humour, and Isla is adorable. Why is it not August? Because, NEED!

MOVIE/TV

The Amazing Spiderman 2

I may be one of the few that really liked this movie. Perhaps it was due to my distraction with Dane Dehaan (how blue are his eyes?!) and his KILLER performance as Harry Osborn. The changes from the comic book were done well, and they referenced the source material where it really mattered (at least to me). Either way I, once again, found Andrew charming as Peter Parker, and felt the movie was fun overall.

Gotham (the TV series)

A pre-Batman Gotham is the hook for this amazing looking TV show. We get brief glimpses of these iconic characters (Penguin, Riddler, Poison Ivy, Catwoman and, of course, Batman himself) but the catch is that it's the origin stories. It's Bruce Wayne as a boy, it's Catwoman as a young girl. The trailer is solid, and has instantly sold me on checking it out this fall. Pretty sure I am going to fall in love with it. Seriously, watch this trailer. You'll want to watch it... immediately.

Book Expo America

This year's BEA is shaping up to be an AMAZING week filled with lots of bookish fun. I am excited to get to see Kelly from Kellyvision and to just be surrounded by bookish people. Two weeks from this Sunday (so TOMORROW) is when I officially start my vacation. Already counting down the number of shifts I have left.
